GEM is an Italian manufacturer and distributor of medical devices. It was founded in 1994 with a business culture primarily based on research, development, production and marketing of innovative medical devices. In 1995 GEM commercializes the Glubran glue, to be used in surgical procedures. Soon after, GEM manufactured the second generation of the product Glubran 2 with a new formula that allows its use even in endovascular procedures. In 1998 both products obtained the CE certification for internal use. Currently GEM manufactures the Glubran 2 glue awarded by users for its variety and diversity of use. In these eleven years GEM has designed and manufactured many application devices for the glue in order to facilitate and enhance its use. In 2007 Glubran Tiss, surgical glue for skin applications, entered the market successfully.
