In addition to our borosilicate fibers, our Photonics business manufactures fiber optic patch cords and assemblies from other multimode fibers such as quartz and/or fused silica with a wide range of coatings and buffers. There are now two distinct divisions of Gulf Fiberoptics Group: Medical - Standard and custom light cords for rigid endoscopes, OEM and replacement light bundles for flexible endoscopes, light cables for spinal retractors, complete surgical spotlight systems, and light sources. Photonics - Custom and standard fiber optic assemblies and probes for spectroscopy for use with most industry standard spectrometers and instruments.
